Feelings
TWJ Day 5 by Elaine

Feelings can serve as indicators of where God is working in us. For example:
  • Pain or struggle can show areas where God is building resilience.
  • Joy or peace might reflect alignment with His will.
  • Discomfort can indicate areas needing growth or change.
By paying attention to these feelings and seeking God’s guidance through prayer and scripture, we can recognize how He uses them for spiritual formation and maturity.

Meditation:
Find a quiet space to connect with Jesus. As you settle into His presence, bring awareness to any emotions you're experiencing right now. Instead of judging these feelings, observe them with curiosity and compassion, asking Him to reveal what these emotions might be teaching you about your spiritual journey and growth.

Notice any patterns in your emotional responses throughout different situations and seasons. Remember that each feeling is an opportunity for deeper intimacy with Christ as He walks alongside you in every experience. Allow this awareness to guide your prayers and actions, trusting that even difficult emotions can be transformed into stepping stones toward spiritual growth.

As you conclude this meditation, offer gratitude for both the comfortable and uncomfortable emotions, knowing that each one is a sacred messenger guiding you closer to Christ.

Journal prompts:
  • Take a moment to write down any insights that emerged during this time of emotional awareness with Jesus.
